Here's a hack from my mother-in-law for a simple, warm and tasty bowl of Tangyuan soup. Suitable for busy parents craving a homemade touch!
Ingredients:
Pandan Leaves: About 5-6 long leaves, tied together.
Sweet Potatoes: 2 palm-sized pieces, peeled and sliced.
Brown Sugar: Start with 1 tablespoon, then adjust to taste.
Frozen Tangyuan: Get this from the supermarket.
Steps:
Put the pandan leaves and sweet potatoes into boiling water for about 10-15mins
Add in the Frozen Tangyuan to cook for about 3mins
Add in the sugar (Pro-tip: Add sparingly. E.g. A tablespoon before tasting and then adding more if you prefer a sweeter soup)
Tadah! This simple recipe promises a tasty, comforting bowl of Tangyuan soup with minimal fuss!
